In these two images I can see two completely different meanings behind them. One is dark while the other is light hearted. They are both portrait. One image uses natural form, while the other uses writing. What surprise me about the first image, is the hidden meaning behind it, and how depressing it is. The second photographer uses food make a statue. They both are very different and unusual in their own ways.
The differences I see in the two images are, the one done by Robert Frank has a very dark meaning while the one done by Lorenzo Vitturi gives happy vibes. Robert's photograph gives cold, depressing vibes but Lorenzo's photo gives warm, lively vibes because of the colours chosen went well and contrasted. Robert's photograph is more of a dystopia image and Lorenzo's photograph is more of a utopia because Lorenzo uses bright happy colours while Robert uses a dark coloured image and edits it to make it look dull. Lorenzo uses a range of natural forms with a colourful background. Robert uses reflection and a doll to show his work. What I like most for Robert was the meaning behind the writing. What I like for Lorenzo is the tropical vibe of his work.
The edges I can see from Robert is shape while Lorenzo uses round edges. Edges help give each of the images uniqueness. Lorenzo used edges in a special way making her image unique she did this by using round edges. If I could talk to. Robert I would ask what was he thinking when he took this, and why. If I could talk to Lorenzo, I would ask her why she used the fruit he picked and what was the meaning behind his image. I would've liked the two photographers to switch subjects between them and see the outcome.
For Robert's photograph, I would've named it aftertaste, because the outcome of the event that has happened to him must've hurt hi deeply. For Lorenzo I would've named his photograph sunshine, because this image gives me suer vibes and beach vibes. If I was in Robert's image, I would feel as if I would be very cold and lonely because of his choice of colour and composition. If I was in Lorenzo's image, I would feel like I was on holiday, in Hawaii with my friends because of the tropical vibes. I think Robert made this image because he was inspired by an dystopian world. I think he was trying to say that all happiness comes to an end. I think Lorenzo was inspired by tropical weather or the beach to have made this. I think Robert's theme was dystopia because of his choice of no colours and the darkness of the image. I think Lorenzo made this image because he was inspired to make an utopian world. I think this is because of his choice of scenery, objects, and when I think of utopian world, I think of a beach with the sun.
